For some new CD, the lifestyle 48 can not read their information, please call bose customer service or service department and ask them to upgrade your lifestyle gracenote. LS48 and LS535 are completely different, the new LS535 comes with HDMI input and output, also now 3D compatible and has a soundtouch to allow you to listen music streaming from internet or from your music library. The speakers now are different, the new LS535 comes with new jewel cube series II and also the acoustimass bass module is different too.
