Cvusbdrvbus_257 Driver

Hi Everyone, So I wanted to start of with the point that my Task Sequence actually finishes and my issues are with the missing drivers. We got these systems as a somewhat of a surprise instead of our normal E7450 as those got disconnected. This seemed simple enough. I downloaded the CAB drivers from the dells websites and imported it into MDT then copied a task sequence from 7450 and changed the drivers which get injected (I since tried making a task sequence from scratch but result remains the same).

The first issue I saw was BSOD telling me that usb drivers are corrupt. For those who see this issue you need to download the drivers from here and replace the cab drivers with them: 8/9 Series: 7 Series: So if this is your issue this should resolve that:) However, the part that I am stuck on is the video card driver and the BcmNFCBus257/CVUSBDRVBus513 drivers. The most frustrating part of this whole thing is that if I download the drivers from the website ( VideoDriver0RC06WN3220.A01 for video and SecurityDriver3N9T0WN644.2.9.52A04 for the other two) they seem to install with no issues. However when I extract the drivers using 7-Zip and upload it to the MDT they don't seem to install. I even tried to unzip the cab drivers and import the drivers while excluding the Video drivers and USB then uploading them manually with no luck.

I guess I should also mention that when I make any type of change and re-generate my deployment share, Update the lite touch in WDS Image and restart the server as that seems to be something that's easy to miss. Has anyone seen this issue yet or perhaps can point me to the cab drivers you used that actually work as even when i was unzipping the cab x86 drivers folder had all files corrupt in it according to 7zip (but since I excluded those folders from the import that does not affect me). Thank you for the reply. Yes I have, unfortunately that mainly focuses on the Bluetooth drivers and Video Card drivers are definitely a standard.

I even opened a case with dell but they weren't very helpful unfortunately (i think the tech never did imaging). They did tell me that they will fix the usb drivers in the cab at least so something positive came out of it. Also, my issue is that the drivers mentioned don't actually install and not that they arent in the CAB. Even after I donwload an exe from intel - UnZip it - Import to MDT - regenerate the image and reapply it to WDS the issue is still there. Where as when I run the exact same drivers manually (the exe) it works. I am thinking of just making a workaround and install the two drivers as part of the 'Applications' but I would really like to avoid that. Hey Everyone, Just wanted to give an update on this.

So i tried both the profile and 'Full Control' version of the setup as was suggested but with no luck unfortunately. I did figure few things out in the process. What seems to be the case is that its not that the Video driver never gets installed but that the ID of the driver is higher than one for VGA. In other words since Windows picks the lower driver ID for any given module it seems to be picking VGA even though both of the drivers are installed. What I have to do is go to Device Manager - Video Adapters - Update Driver - Point to a location - pick from compatible list and then install it. Whats odd is that it picks the correct driver once in the blue moon but it is not consistent.

Latitude E7450/7450 Windows 7 Driver Pack. Device drivers for 'CVUSBDRVBus_257' are not installed. The is the same issue as here: en.community.dell.com/.

From what I read the ID of the driver is what dictates its compatibility to the hardware so I am not really sure why it does so.
