The Salvation Army Character Building Programs
The Salvation Army has wonderful children's character building programs on Tuesday afternoon's and a fun youth group for teens to enjoy on Friday evenings and several programs for adults to take advantage of. The children's programs (SAY Programs) range from grade 1-12. Their focus is on character building for the kids involved; there are many trips and events that the kids would be involved in that is sponsored by The Salvation Army. SAY Programs are on Tuesday's from 3:30pm-5:00pm. The teen programs range from ages 13-18 and provide a great time to get to know other teens, form friendships, learn about God, and fellowship with one another.
The teen program is on Friday's from 6:00pm-8:00pm. We then have our Women's ministry group for woman 18+ on Tuesday mornings from 10:00am-12:00pm. From 10:00am-11:00am the women have what's called Home League which includes food, a devotion, a craft to go along with the devotion and a time for encouragement and prayer. From 11:00am-12:00pm the women have Holy Rollers, the philanthropic aspect of women's ministries. During this time, the women take donated craft supplies and price each item to then go to the thrift store to be sold in an effort to raise money for the local community and the services that the corps provides throughout the year.
